There was also snow at crystal this morning! About 500-700 feet up from the base. Certainly not skiable though, so don't get too excited yet

5"-10" of rain in the mountains through Monday morning followed by a 4000' to 4500' freezing level! Hope for some residual moisture in all that.
"THIS PERIOD WILL BE WET AND UNSETTLED DUE TO A SERIES OF PACIFIC
STORMS MOVING ACROSS THE AREA. THE MEDIUM RANGE MODELS DIFFER IN
THE DETAILS...ESPECIALLY CONCERNING THE SNOW LEVELS. THE ECMWF WAS
COLDER THAN THE GFS AND INDICATED THAT THE SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL
INTO THE 4000 TO 4500 FOOT RANGE /CASCADE PASS LEVEL/ ON MON
WHEREAS THE GFS WAS ABOUT 500 TO 1000 FEET HIGHER."

Thanks for the info. We're getting there. Maybe next week I'll head up and get some.

Report likely coming later today from BrianT, who skied to the parking lot at Paradise. Check the webcam before dark! Now I suppose we have to start worrying about when the road will open from Longmire each day, and if it will be closed Tuesday-Thursday? Andy Carey, are you our man on the scene?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really hope the gate stays open, but you never know with MRNP. Especially since there is this much snow in September, you have to wonder if they are ready.
