dukes are more difficult to mount imo.
do a trial mount on a 2x4, get it dialed in good then make a template off that.
drill holes just right, apply glue, screw in dynafiddles with direct downward presure.
not too tight you don't want a spinner.
easy and sets you free :)

Thats what I'm talkin about. Why have I never thought of this?

Thanks for the input guys, I'm prolly going to try this, I'm in Yakima so really Seattle shops are the closest for me.

I'm a big fan of either a drill stop, or better, an actual ski drill bit. They're cheap compared to a mount at a shop, and they keep you from drilling through your skis...

If mounting with a paper template, I check and recheck centering obsessively.

Happy mounting!

I refuse to pay a shop 50-75$ to mount bindings.  I am an idiot and I have successfully mounted two sets of Dynafits.  I just bought a new spring setup and I plan on mounting those myself as well.  Wild snow and this thread guided my through:

I highly recommend the paper technique to find the center of the ski and I also used a transparency instead of paper for the template.  Also, use a punch before drilling.  It keeps the drill bit from slipping.  Good luck!

Could be a good move to drill the threads out of the toepiece plastic baseplate. Those gave me some trouble. Might be worth to read around on tgr.com too.
