Hey!! :>) Sorry if my posts seem too rigid. That is so funny because I am a very loose and informal person, especially when it comes to skiing.
Lessons by a Level III are NOT then only way to good skiing. So many of the avenues listed here work as well and have for the posters. I just believe that there is an easier way and am trying to give Saxy that perspective.
Friday Crystal is a good one bro. I was there too. Skiing was awesome. A day where falling does not enter in to the equation because the snow was so consistent and the light so good. Skiing was easy, just needed to release your edges/platform (since it was powder not groomed) and direct your center of mass (torso/hips) to the inside and skis did the rest to turn. Effortless.

Yes, I think you've nailed it - ski the conditions a lot and you will learn how to ski them.

i would support mofro for president, but those who remember know i've already thrown my weight behind robie..
but since you asked, and since you suck (which we all have), just watch the really good skiers ~ their style always have the same attributes.
mofro knows..

Here's a quick list to help with slaying pow:
If you do all that and aren't having any fun, then skiing's not for you!
- get a steezy coat, the louder the better!
- make sure your helmet cam is on
- make sure your goggles are mirrored
- when in line, tell anyone who will listen how you just killed it and it was so sick
- click your poles and yell "dropping" at the top of every run
- if you ever crash, get up and yell "I knew I should grabbed my other powder/inbounds/backcountry/etc sticks today"
If you do all that and aren't having any fun, then skiing's not for you!

Everyone should try a "Buzzed Run" with SilasWild at least once!
