Do you count vertical?

I'm hoping to interview skiers who obsessively track the vertical they ski in a year for a freelance article.

I track my self-propelled vertical gained while touring for turns (but not from nordic skiing), both comprehensively and accurately.
But not obsessively.
Nope, not obsessive at all.
Just, umm, for practical reasons, right?
(And my spreadsheet has no graphs. Well, actually, it originally did, back when I was 10 years old, with old-fashioned paper and pencil, since all this started when we were learning how to create graphs in math class.)

Mike, Pretty strong showing in Jan and Feb does not look like you missed a day.

Do you double count a bc and lift day if you start out on lifts then venture outward?

Yeah, I do.  I count lift days for the fun of saying "I skied however many days this year" and I call it a bc day if I hike at all, so it looks like I went back country skiing every day, but many of those are just lift days with some hiking.

$15,000 to $18,000 per season, then that money I saved becomes my beer budget for the year. Simple.

That is a pretty awesome beer budget - do you drink alone? Maybe an intervention is needed where we all come and help you...
