Do you count vertical? was created by Johnny N
I'm hoping to interview skiers who obsessively track the vertical they ski in a year for a freelance article. Are you a vertical fanatic? I'd like to talk with you.

I keep a "month-at-a-glance" calendar in my truck instead of the stickies on the dashboard. I track my vertical by known elevations or by using a gps app on my phone. I find that the vertical reported by the phone app is generally inflated, so I transfer the gps tracks to my computer and let Google Earth report the elevation lost. The photo is a screen shot of an excel spreadsheet that I update as I go.
My tolerant wife patiently waits for this obsession to fade.

Mikerolfs - what program is that for tracking vert - my method of transcribing from my watch to post it motes on my dashboard is getting old.....
