What's Yer Bench? was created by tortiseshell
I want to build a tuning bench... looking for ideas and inspirational solutions. Would be cool to have a collection of pictures  showing benches, solutions folks have built.

Any suggestions for diy vices, ideas would be great to glean from.  Want to do skis and snowboards.

Need a summer project to get winter ready...

Thanks!

Here's mine. Works great. The teletips thread (and the sublinks in the linked post) have a bunch of great ideas.

Thanks Charlie, nice and clean. It's great to see others in your link as well. Thanks for sharing.... I'm attracted to the lean and mean setup you have.

Ok... now that winter is around the corner... got my bench built and thought I'd share.  Overall... turned out pretty sweet and eager to start working on my sticks from summer grins they gained.

Got the vise from Slidewright.  They were terrific.

So.... question:
What is your favorite and recommended edge tuning tools.  Quite a bit of selection of products out there.  What do you like? The SVST gear seems top shelf. Want to cut through the chaf... so specifics are great.

I got the waxing setup already.

Thanks for your help!

Sweet! The adjustable T-track plan looks like a nice one.

The Tools4Boards Xact (and 3 DMT diamond stones) has been sufficient for non-discerning needs. Looks like you're aiming higher.
