URL is text and not hyperlinky. And agreed, well done and spicy.

Highlight from the story:
Pretty amazing to survive a rope snapping like that and come out unscathed, it looks like the backup systems are well designed.
By the way, Oyvind's last name was misspelled in that story both in the paper and online, so I emailed the author and the online version has now been fixed, and they will run a correction in the paper tomorrow. Apparently, the Snohomish County Sheriff's office had his name spelled incorrectly on the list that they gave to the press, which is surprising since he has been on many search and rescue missions with them over the past several years, and is the current president/chair of Everett Mountain Rescue.
This story on KING5 has video of Oyvind speaking at a news conference:
www.king5.com/news/local/Rescuers-talk-a...rfall-152382235.html
That story has his name misspelled 3 different ways (!), Henningston and Hennington in the text, plus Henningtson in the video, none of which match the misspelling on the sheriff's list (Hennigson). LOL! I guess Norwegian names are hard to spell correctly! (and I need to email Allen Schauffler now too.)
A sheriff's helicopter lowered two rescuers about 200 yards downstream Saturday evening. After several attempts to swing in under the overhang, the rope sawed against the rock edge and snapped. Rescuer Oyvind Henningsen fell into the water, but a safety rope held by a second rescuer prevented him from going over the next section of Wallace Middle Falls.

Joedabaker: I only wish I had the skill and dedication to help in a situation like this. Definitely not this Andy. Cheers to the rescuers!
