Mission Ridge Sidecountry info?

I heard second hand that a skier cut across the top of Virgil's and triggered the slide and it propagated into shot 6. The control work after released a bigger slide.


My son and I had a distant view of the control work Saturday afternoon. The resulting slide was impressive and it left a very large crown just below the ridge holding the radio tower. There was a previous release a bit farther east, so it seemed like the control work was cleaning out hang-fire.

Big thanks, Aaron, for showing Tom and me a bit of the sidecountry on Saturday.

Maybe enjoy a couple high speed groomers early (they are underrated).


Agreed. We skied mostly groomers on Sunday before heading back to Seattle. I think the groomers at Mission Ridge are the best in the state. Just outstanding.
