Thanks Greg. It felt damn good crossing that finish line.

Props to Brandon for being the strong man of the day. He did the majority of the trail breaking yesterday.

Holly and I have been doing these races for almost ten years now. It is great to see the event turn into the type of festival OR and crew put on this weekend. Awesome mountain atmosphere!!!

Not "almost" -- this would be the tenth year. I checked my notes and the Stevens Pass LifeLink rally where you two met was in March 2003. The first rando rally in the Northwest was the previous year at Alpental (March 2002). I raced in both of those rallies, then missed a bunch of them until 2008 due to family obligations.

Congrats Seth and Holly!

It's hard to feel upbeat after the tragic losses yesterday, but we would be remiss not to thank all of the great sponsors and volunteers for another fantastic Vertfest this weekend! The event continues to grow and improve, and this year was no exception. We had 158 racers on Saturday, fantastic clinics yesterday and who knows how many people demoing gear. A huge thanks to Outdoor Research for leading the charge, the Summit at Snoqualmie for hosting, Pro Guiding for managing the race, and all of the great sponsors, volunteers and attendees. In times of loss, bringing the community together for such a great weekend feels all the better. Thank you!

Huge Congratulations to Seth and Holly - all of the Alpental regulars are so happy to see you two finish in top spots!

I'm sorry I missed it this year. Stimbuck , myself and the rest of the bros were pretty both busy blowing up snow both before and after the event and had to give it a miss. Props to everyone working hard and coordinating with each other to pull the event off on time with so much new snow.

I am so proud of my son Per - finished one lap with a respectable 1:36 in the middle of the pack at age 12. Way to go Per! He's stoked and already talking about racing next year.....

Here is the over 50 category...men's that is, women's above in silas' post.

Thanks to all the organizers.

With the strong interest in this event, I wonder what the prospects would be for a bit of a circuit in the PacNW? They seem to have that going on in my home hills of New England, on terrain better suited to Sl training.
