Arggg, not again! This is the second time this has happened to me. First time was while hitting a Icy bump, this time it was from a emergency turn/stop on a groomer (high torque but no impact). These are the K2 sidestash skies. K2 replaced my last pair, and I expect they will do the same again. I have found these to be a perfect addition to my quiver, they are my powder touring / day to day area ski. The dimensions are 139/108/127 With a early rise tip and flat tail and all wood construction. I'm sad to say that I'm disappointed with the construction and quality controll of this ski and am looking for a different replacement ski. That being said I would appreciate any suggestions for a ski of similar shape and weight that has proven reliable with a Dynafit setup. I'm hoping to get some Ideas them head up to Crystal to do some demo's.

I don't have any Dynafit reliability data but I have been really enjoying my G3 Manhattans as the replacement to my K2 Antipistes I busted last year. Specs are almost identical to the Sidestash (even lighter)

That sucks.

How big are you? skiing w/ the toe locked? I cant opine on K2's durability since i haven't bought a pair for some years.

Irrespective of ski/brand, i would be leery of subjecting any of my dynafiddle mounted skis to the same beating that i give my downhill setups.  Also Maybe look into swap plates or inserts to help achieve a more robust mount and help your skis hold up under resort use?

Zack,  Sorry to hear of your problems with the K2 Sidestash.  I have 2 pairs of the original 182cm Sidestash.  One pair has a Dynafit TLT binding for touring.  The second pair is mounted with a downhill binding.  I'm currently at Whistler cruising on firm groomers and they are handling the conditions nicely. Hopefully, K2 will provide some acceptable options.

I tested Dynafit Stokes on demo day at Baker and liked them. Needless to say they have inserts for TLT's Can't say how they compare to K2 Sidestash, But I like the basic size for all around ski around here.
