I don't think so. I think they are fully welded, but I don't know for sure. I guess you could always contact the manufacturer. Can they be repacked like a silencer on a dirt bike?

The majority of snowmobile riders follow the law and are great and just normal folks. Unfortunately, however many there are, lawbreakers are free to run very loud illegal exhausts and loud beyond the limits turbo engines. There is NO meaningful Enforcement of the behavior of snowmobile riders, again a compliment to the majority who behave as considerate good citizens, again no consequences to lawbreakers. The illegally loud machines are in the mountains EVERY WEEK on-snow in my personal observation. Similar to snomo Wilderness trespassers, there is no enforcement, no chance of consequences.
Even legal noise-level machines ruin the experience for others. Therefore, WMC and others are advocating for separate areas on the Forest for motorized and non-motorized recreation ion winter.
More snomo guys distraction here from skiers taking time to comment for their own benefit in the OWNF DFPR. Nice thing is the snomo guys are sending letters stating where they all ride in the offroad areas. In time, we expect that to be decided as unlawful use of the Forest until proper NEPA and other processes are followed to designate areas for offroad snowmobile riding. In the meantime, the game is to distract the discussion to stop any effective advocacy to manage snowmobile riding. At least the level of aggression from the snomo guys has lessened- when one holds the line as a citizen, they seem to back off and do not have much to say.
I would caution the snomo-admirers here that the written principles of WSSA and SAWS state that they will not compromise, they will yield no land for any other use, and are against Wilderness in general. These are the folks being admired here on TAY, an alleged website for skitouring enthusiasts.
We ask that winter non-motorized Forest users describe how and where they recreate, and also share their thoughts about this issue and this need with the Forest Supervisor and the Forest Plan Revision Team. Try dialing down the rhetoric WMC.
If it isn't already, your approach will likely work against your own cause.

bring something. wmc's message may be repetitive, but it isn't unjust or unfounded.
it is a bit entertaining to watch snomo guys court skiers...
edit for clarity

WMC is very good a stirring the pot, posting alarmist information and sound bites to get peoples attention.
At best I find it coercive, at worst it's promoting a personal agenda cloaked as a public desire.
