Thanks for deleting the email Jonathan -- he made a mistake and has corrected it. No need for a pitchfork party.

P Buddy
welcome to turns all year.
Stick around, it's a good spot as people watch out for each other.
I say we all can learn from this so lets move back to the business of making turns and filing reports.

In the Snow-Troll-Single-Ski incident -- what was the deal with your one ski ? -- Was the pair stashed somewhere and snow melt freed one and it fell out of place ?
I looked at the "Winderness camping" guidelines for Mt Rainier and I didn't easily find rules about caching equipment and supplies in the park -- what are the rules in Mt Rainier park? (In the Alpine Lakes Winderness caching food or equipment for more than 48 hours is not permitted)

and that time that the Troll took my stashed ski:

Don't disturb our stashes!
(beer may be a reasonable exception but only a service fee of one beer IF you re-bury the remainder)

In MRNP, you may not leave property unattended for longer than 24 hours. Items left for longer periods may be impounded. Items that pose a threat to visitor or resource safety (say, unattended food) may be impounded immediately.
BTW, you also must turn in found property to the Park as soon as practicable. We have pretty solid lost and found procedures.

Thanks for the clarification does that include full cans of beer ?
BTW the 24 hour rule seems reasonable.
