+1 on tognar. Warning: do not wax your wife's or other significant others' skis--it will soon become a mandatory, frequent task for you; my SO now gets quite indignant saying "My skis are dull!" as if I was cheating or something
, so I end up waxing more frequently than I normally would, and that always means 2-4 pairs at a time, and every 2nd or 3rd outing in the winter.

Seriously, learn to do it yourself. It's very satisfying and doesn't take much to get started.
