Made me laugh out loud. Snowskate Liberty Ridge!

Snowskaters have been down Mt Adams.

Very good observation.
I worked with an old German, who used to tell me stories of he and his Euro buddies skiing many slopes that I read about here on TAY claimed as a first decents. Old Karl has passed, but it would be great to hear him regal his stories again with such passion.
I like are the ones that have been already skied, but are said to be the first "Snowboard Decent" of a known skied slope. If you take out a Monoboard or Snow Blades, I'm sure there is an unlimited amount of first descents left right out your backdoor.  :D

I probably should not admit to this...But on May 18th, 2000 I actually hauled my Monoski to the top of Mt St Helens. I always wondered if anybody had ever done this before me.

Hey, snowskating can be tough, and rewarding too, not to forget tons of fun!

2 weeks ago I believe I did a first glissade descent of *almost* the whole first face of DG - it was groomed on fresh, and hard in the am and when my snowskate flew out from under me feet at the top I didn't have ski or snowboard edges to dig in so I picked up some solid speed and wasn't able to stop before the flat part at the juncture with the other runs. My kids were cracking up, but i had to focus and navigate to avoid the trees on skier's right. It was fast, I tell you - Billy TM would have been proud! I still haven't lost hope that someone from the lift caught it on iPhone or something and the footage will make me famous.

Next time I'm bringing my ice axe. I believe this will be a first too - Lowell, do you know about someone snowskating Alpy with an ice axe? I should get extra style pointz.

Cheers
Ivo

It's hard to say what is a first descent.  Alot of stuff that people call a first ascent or descent may or may not be.  Not everyone sprays their exploits all over the internet or writes them up for journals.  There are things that I've seen claimed as first ascents/descents that were done decades ago, by people that didn't feel the need to talk about it much.

I hereby nominate this "Post Of The Month". You make good funny.  :D

I made the first Sidetepping descent of Braindamage last season. Sidestepped the whole way down.
It was tough and had to resist the urge to do a snowplow about 2/3 down.
