I actually had the great pleasure of being a professional colleague of Roland's years ago (I was an internist in Jackson in 1995 before returning to fellowship back in VT) for a short while. He is a remarkable human being, amazingly strong (originally from Austria, an Alpine climber by background) and very gracious and humble - but not one to suffer fools lightly. I can imagine the scene. Give 'em hell, Roland.

When was the last time you got beligerent and loud with a cop/ski patrol/lawyer/judge/politician/security guard/bouncer and found that it "worked?"

Now that you're screaming and/or ignoring my instructions, I see your point and have changed my mind. Carry on.

This would fall under the earlier category of "smuggest participants".

we've lost it.  is this really the best thing these 10 people can do with their days?  wow.  How do we decide to pay these various A***S salaries?   I know, lets round up a posse and harass 78-year olds who want to get exercise.  brilliant.
