I always saw her flying happily past me in the mountains and I was always in awe. What a lovely and joyful person...
My condolences to her family and friends.

I'd like to suggest that to honor Monika, to those who will be participating in vertfest add to their packs a stuffed animal kitty.

After years of being inspired by her accomplishments, I finally met her in person just a couple weeks ago.  This seem so surreal.  Sympathies and best wishes for her and her loved ones.

Until she's found and brought home, I'm holding out hope for a miracle.

I didn't know Monika, I only met her once briefly.
There is a connection through the many friends we shared in common however,
some that are a part of the TAY community and others who are not.
As davidG so eloquently said, I am also in awe of the love that she inspires.
I offer my condolences with sadness for the loss to her family, friends and the community at large.

PS. I think Mofro's thought for Vertfest is a great idea.
