Pompom on your Beanie or no Pompom

This has been bothering me for a while.
I have both, and I like a good pompom but sometimes it gets enrusted with snow and causes a backward pull that causes gaper gap at the front.
Beanies without pompoms don't have this problem but they lack that " living life..enjoying the pow" look. However they pompomless beanies do allow me to put my hood over it and affect that "LA Gangsta" look while standing slouchingly, smoking waiting at the top of REX.
I'll wear my helmet on hardpack resort days but when the powder's out I reach for my beanie with the biggest pompom I can find.
I've thought about those helmet covers that have pompoms attached so I can be both super safe and living the dream but can't bring myself to go there.
Advice?

You have tassels on all your beanies I've noticed so I'm not surprised your not interested in pompoms. I've had it with you pompom haters.

I admit that I had a Pom-Pom event with my pom yesterday, one of my powder 8 hats pom is on a string and I was wondering, should I tuck it under my goggles before skiing this potential avy slope or should I let it fly free like a powder cord so they can find me if I get buried.
I opted to let it fly free.

Now I need some help, should I shovel the snow off the deck before getting in the hot tub or just let it sit.

If you shovel it you'll just end up with a pile of graying work hardened snow sitting there to remind you that the FL was once quite low.
