The Mountains We Love: a different perspective!

As Mark wisely noted, though, you assisted in sending the thread on a sharp turn by following Godwin's Law . It's of course hard to know another's intentions. But it's tempting to think that someone who quickly labels others "nazis" and "kooks" has a touch of "hater" in them...
Godwin's wisdom becomes more apparent to me over time.
I would probably have enjoyed watching your plane cruise overhead if it was truly as quiet as you suggest, as Rainier has never seemed all that wildernessy to me anyway, and it's fun for me to watch planes close up. I do get why some would prefer that the suggested guidelines are followed, though, and it's easy for someone who enjoys making the noise to pooh-pooh those who wish to escape it. Of the two, one is in the driver's seat in more ways than one. Control is often a matter of perspective.

Snowolf, your getting popular here on TAY. Thanks for sharing the videos, I enjoyed seeing the mountains from above. Apparently others on here are gunning to hijack threads, when there is even a "hot air" section where they could legitimately start their own topic. From what I have read, not one of your posts has started out provocative and has in fact been informative, its clear that you love the mountains and love your sport, thank you for sharing.
I don't post much myself, but am loosing interest here on TAY...
You should post here more, Koda.
Your positive feedback will help keep TAY the kind of community that you enjoy frequenting. As the numbers of contributors continues to grow, keeping the atmosphere the way we want it falls on the shoulders of the users as well as the moderators. The more we all ignore the sniping and hijacking, and instead praise the behavior we prefer in our community, the more likely it remains the way we want it.
Thanks for your comment.
Snowolf, Great photos.
