I suppose it just depends on which data set you'd like to interpret to get the results to fit your conclusions.

WHEN WILL WINTER RETURN?! Not this week, or probably not next week. And please spare me the "look on the bright side" attitude, as I have gotten the shaft down here at hood every since the holidays. I'm complaining because I need to vent before I chuck all my gear off of the Saint Johns Bridge.

What kind of gear? I'm on the market for some fat tele sticks to deal with our current excess of untrammeled powder.

I'm starting to feel the frustration down here in the southern Willamette Valley as well. A 22 inch base at 5000 feet on February 1 with bare patches showing all over the place is depressing. It hasn't snowed in a month and all I see on tv is how everyone on the east coast is digging out of snow deeper than the base here in the Oregon cascades! It wouldn't be so bad, but all the "hype" surrounding this season leaves me feeling a bit underwhelmed....I'm hoping for a good recovery in late February and March, and riding corn in the meantime......

Not my normal stomping ground for weather information, but I am looking for any good news :'(
