Sweet vid Toby!  Hope you're planning to come down for some laps on Stu with us this season.

I use sleds for access on occasion, when you say laps on Stu do you mean Mt Stewart? If so are you skinning multiple laps or are you referring to using the sleds for laps?

Aaron, as I'm sure you are aware, Stewie/Stu/StUart, is in Wilderness. We park at longs pass. Climb/skin laps.

I am aware, I also know people do take laps on the Ingall's side of Stewart with sleds. Kudo's to you for skinning laps on Stewart, that's impressive.

Shred, your second pic does not help snowmobiler's cause, riding through creeks or lakes that aren't frozen over is a no-no. An atv/4x4/dirtbike will get a big fine for that action.

If you use a sled, please go where skiers definitely don't go. It is easy for you to find untracked terrain but really hard for us. Please stay away from terrain that can be reached by backcountry skiers.

In all my years of ski touring I've never had any trouble whatsoever finding untracked terrain. Happy to point you to some good spots if you'd like suggestions.

Me either. And I ski almost exclusively at Snoqualmie Pass. My problem is getting to it before it turns to mank.
