Of all the access issues in the Cascades to get your panties in a wad about..... you had to pick this really insignificant one.

Well said Joe!

What about when Warren Miller was wanting to film at Crystal.  Patrol told us to stay out of Silver Basin to allow him to helicopter in and film lines.

There is no him in Warren Miller Entertainment Inc.

The behavior is certainly befitting of assless chaps.

But mostly I'm just upset for Joe.

Clearly this touring group put him off his stride during last minute pre-run preperations........

Edit: Super ironic to me that there was a bitchy thread recently about wanting to ban snowmobiles from using a FS road because it interefered with or was full of un-koombayaness during a once a season X-country jamoboree?

Whatever the 'law', give respect, get respect ~ and good Karma.

But echoing Stugie, if the chopper is up and the tape is rolling would you poach a line for a shot at stardom..?    ;)

No Brit, my ass was chapped on my decision to ski a line that had a minefield of avy debris at the bottom of the run. We made it through 8'ing the trees at the top and off the 3ft fracture line, it was the seemingly endless field of 1ft frozen debris shapes that put me on my ass ending our streak of victories.
I wish I could say there will be a next year, but public pressures to get the South open for them has probably put an end to this 20 year tradition.

The touring group's antics were the perfect justicication to project my defeated anger.

Joe, what is the Powder 8's? I've never heard much about it.

Edit: Super ironic to me that there was a bitchy thread recently about wanting to ban snowmobiles from using a FS road because it interefered with or was full of un-koombayaness during a once a season X-country jamoboree?

Not really sure I see the irony you're talking about, but the main complaint in that thread was that a few snowmobilers deliberately trashed the groomed track that had been laid by the race organizers, not because there wasn't enough campfire singing.
