". . . upgrade to a Plus Pass, which includes Gondola access for only $89 for adults and $69 for youths & seniors..(emphasis added)". Am I to infer that additional to a lift ticket, I would have to purchase a gondola ticket? What happens if REX gets shut down due to wind?

Aaaaah capitalism! The only true democracy. You invest capital and then charge for it hopefully to make a profit but maybe a loss! Democracy comes into play in the fact you can vote with your wallet.
It's what made the US of A great and fueled the wealth necessary to fund progressive social programs.

I'm paying extra for the gondola so I can get to the top on a powder day before the people travelling on Chinook and then Rex!!!!I'm making an investment that I hope will pay off in more powder for me than other people who wont pay the extra. Simple economic theory. I love it, hurray for Crystal management.

Scotty, What about having a "First Tracks Breakfast Buffet", similar to what Whistler does?

Whisk you up the Gondola, have an early morning breakfast in the Summit Haus Restaurant and then getting first tracks in fresh powder for say an extra $20? $20 for the buffet of course.

I like what Whistler does and I hope it rubs off on Crystal. More amenities for a couple extra bucks. Well worth it to me. JMHO>

Gold pass price (including gondola) is the same as last year or is my foggy memory more clouded than usual?
