Yeah, I'll echo that if I hadn't said it before -- really appreciate all the great contributions you've made this season Bandit. Good to have an "inside man".

Crystal marketing has confirmed that daily ticket buyers will pay extra to use the gondola. Crystal will be the only place in the country to charge more for gondola use. I know Jackson does it with the tram. I think it is crap.Crystal is promoting the rich , snobby attitude that only turns people off and sends them away from skiing. This gondola is not about improving the skiing , it is for summer tourism. The tower construction will likely ruin my favorite place on the mountain ( the top of West face and skiers left on Exterminator).Meanwhile chair 6 may not make through another year. It is not feeling like a skiers mountain anymore. " Crysal , come ski here if your rich"

A Bronze season quad pass will cost you $549 plus gondola upgrade= $638.
If the season lasts 4.5 months x4.33 weeks on average=19 weeks say.
If you are a weekend warrior and go both days= 38 days.
$638/38=$16.79 per day.

If you average 2.5 days per week like me= $638/47.5= $13.43 per day.

If you amortize just the gondola upgrade= $89/47.5=$1.88 per day.

Good value in my book.

Now if you dont want to ride the gondola. THEN DONT BUY A TICKET FOR IT!

I see his point. I can understand the upgrade option in the season pass packages, but (though it would benefit me as a gold pass holder to have them charge extra for daily gondola access) I don't think it's really right to do so.

Mr Scot,

You were most likely a Mathematics Major in college. I like your calculations. Crystal's prices are still reasonable compared to other resorts. . Try buying a pass at Vail, Aspen or Deer Valley.

I'd have to try and get an American Express Black Card to do that. :D
