We've all lost sight of the original question:

I thought that starts when the political finger pointing shows up.
Oh...that's right this is not the Seattle Times where every subject turns into a political problem.

Yes .. I agree. Every discussion seems to become polarized and the nuances in both arguments lost.( I'm guilty as is everybody else)
Dynafits are bad..., Dynafits are good. Dukes are useless.. Dukes are great.
Well ,there are nuances with regards intended use, conditions  etc.,that make all the above statements true from one perspective or another depending on where on the horizon you are.
There are no absolutes regarding bindings same way there are no absolutes in the political arena.
Everything is a compromise one way or another and the nuances regarding a decision or argument are important but often overlooked by those with a dogma to present.
Dogma= BAD.

Dynafits are light they're somehow only for meadow skipping and Euro-lycra festivals,

I have been in Seattle so long that I now become hyper PC. As a result I take umbrage over the negative connotation of "Euro-Lycra" ( it was not used in the context above as a compliment.)
Yes, we Europeans enjoy cladding our svelte bodies in skin tight Lycra and cavorting around in public like pubescent Swedish gymnasts, but should we become a joke as a result.??

When my European relatives make jokes about Americans ( " I told Hilda to take the pig to the market as it was as fat as an American") I vigorously defend you all against this unfair stereotyping by my brethren across the Atlantic.
Not PC Seattle!!!!!!!
It is still however perfectly OK to say anything about the French.
Thank you.
