Power Straps, does anyone sell them?

Hi all,

Fact: I've got a freakishly large right calf (scar tissue from a motorcylce accident).

Fact: I am looking for a longer power strap to replace the one that came with the Dynafit Aero Freeride boots I recently purchased.

Does anyone know where I might find a selection of power strap type products?

Dirtbag DIY solutions will also be considered.

Pro Ski Service in Seattle carries "Booster Straps" . I have replaced the velcro power strap on both my winter boots with these and really like them.

Once you get booster straps you will never go back. They are $$$ but are worth it. Literally a one touch solution, even with gloves on. Ideal for touring and quickly switching from uphill to downhill mode. Makes your boots stiffer on the down as well.

Tognar sells the same Booster straps for slightly less than direct.

I might have to take a look into this? Not to steal JibberD's thread, but questions must be asked.
I noticed Scotsman had some of those, but I thought it was to replace a worn Velcro strap.
What is the performance difference between just the regular old strap that comes with the boot and these Booster Straps?
Occasionally velcro straps can get old, or snow and ice in them and not adhere as well, but it seems that does not compromise my performance.
Maybe because I replaced my boot liners with higher density liners that have stiff cuffs, maybe that is the difference?
It seems that if those improve driving power it would be helpful to drive fatter skis.
Is this a must have and I am missing the boat?
