I use them under the shell as well, Lori.

Interesting suggestion Lori and Marcus.
There is more to this nifty item than meets the eye.

Joe I think you are not missing the party, but perhaps just getting in when the getting is getting good....

With that I will have to get a pair and give it a go!! Don't want to miss out! Thanks JD.

Thanks for the discussion everyone.

I went to ProSki in Seattle for a set of Boosters....not in stock yet. Amos did swap me longer Garmont strap for the Dynafit strap. Thank you Amos.

Since then, I've become convinced that the Booster is a must have. A third party Amazon.com vendor has the "Booster Expert" for $39.95 no tax, no shipping charge, so I ordered a pair.

A performance report will be issued once they've been tested.

I've found them at Sturtevants ski-mart (the outlet) in the past at good prices. Booster straps rule for all the reasons stated above.

Hi all,

The Boosters showed up in the mail today. Based on my weight I chose the "Expert" 3-band model.

The good news is that the Boosters fit nicely on my boots.

The bad news is that these things are heavy!

The metal buckle is beefy steel and the straps are dense. My boots were already pretty chunky, the Boosters beef up the boot to King Tiger Panzer range.

An on snow review to follow soon...
