6.15" of Rain at Crystal! was created by Scotsman
Just checked the Crystal telemetry. 6.15" of precipitation all of it falling as rain with temps 37-45 deg. What a waste of good moisture.
I'm bummed. :'( :'(

But at WA Pass they have had 3" of precip falling at below freezing temps so if they open the road again later in the week( WSDOT website says they are going to check the Liberty Bell Chutes so see if they have slid on Tuesday) there could be some powder up there.
Here's hoping!
Aren't the TAY telemetry links da bomb!!

Would be nice, but I really doubt they're going to re-open WA pass. The snowpack increased by 2 feet over the past 24 hours - but as of 3pm it's above freeezing according to the telemetry.

That would mean it is falling as freezing rain, not snow. Last I heard the SL was around 8,000' so unlikely we are getting much snow anywhere today. I just spent most of the day shoveling snow. It is heavy on top with still semi-dry in the middle and 4" of wet slush at the bottom (aprox 3' deep). Not the funnest stuff to be tossing with a shovel, but it has to be done.

at least we can stop worrying about that faceted layer. Steven's pass telemetry shows losing an inch/hour to rain. My bet is there will still be a good base left after the storm moves through
