Juan, you're right, this weather is crap, but there must be a pony here somewhere!

You guys need to head east! Schweitzer stayed below freezing all day and is primed to spin lifts Wednesday! 50" from this storm and more is falling.

I knew there was a reason I went east for college. Go Cougs!

From Seattle, you're looking at a 6-7 hour drive but this of course is dependent on pass conditions, negotiating WSP, and eastern washington/idaho weather. Our snow here in town was just wiped out from the rain, but forecasts calling for snow later in the week.

<thread jack> (thanks for the idea Scotsman)
What happened to the good ole' days when my Schweitzer pass was good at Stevens and vise-versa? Last year it worked (just college passes), but now no dice... which seems strange because the companies split a few years ago. It really made the drive to and fro worth it, but with gas prices and the ever increasing lift ticket price we might all become "one resort skiers."
Sorry for the rant.

Wherever it is, good luck finding the snow and hopefully I'll see a few of you over here!

The drive east definitely depends on conditions although getting to Schweitzer isn't that bad. We were unfortunately in the process of moving from Seattle to Whitefish this past weekend and ended up stuck in Couer D'alene as Lookout Pass (on the Idaho/MT border) recorded almost 40 inches. Pulling a trailer in those conditions is not recommended!
