Daily Update
It's been quite the storm here at Schweitzer! We've received 48-56 inches of snowfall from this storm. Unfortunately, we also saw a rise in temperatures and rain fall on the mountain. The good news is that temperatures are predicted to begin falling late tonight and the National Weather Service is predicting that snow is likely tonight!
Due to the change in weather we're planning to open for the season on Thursday December 6th. We will be evaluating terrain through the early part of the week -- we anticipate a LIMITED opening on Thursday and will announce opening lifts soon. More terrain will come on line as our crews do their thing! Please note that our heavy equipment is on the mountain preparing for opening day and we advise guests to use extreme caution. THERE IS EXTREME AVALANCHE DANGER SO PLEASE AVOID ACCESSING OUR TERRAIN UNTIL WE OPEN.
