The Friends of the NWAC have asked me to do a program in Seattle this winter. We've scheduled a location and date in early February. I'll let the organizers make the formal announcement. I've been contacted by a couple other groups too, but they haven't settled on a date.

The presentation this Friday in Tacoma will include my 20-minute program about skiing the Cascade Crest as sort of a keynote. Then I'll show three historic movies taken between 1936 and 1956 at Mt Baker, the North Cascades, and Mt Rainier. I'll also show some slides from a 2005 ski descent in the Glacier Peak Wilderness. The program runs about one hour. If anybody is really into it, I'll have more old films available on my hard drive after the program is finished.

I'm really bummed I can't make it. My daughter is turning 9 and her party is Friday night, but I hope to make one of your future presentations.

Thanks to all who showed up for one of the finest presentations of Lowell Skoog. Lowell did a wonderful job as producer ,director, presentator and one of the subjects. Lowell did a masterful job of presenting his" Quest of the Crest "by mixing in historic and new media. We had around 100 people in our clubhouse. Skiers came from Seattle, Portland and Olympia. Also quite a few veteran skiers as well. One Woman told me how her husband found a dead seal on the beach, skinned it and made his own climbing skins!
