OR - Many thanks for putting on such an enjoyable event!  The various activities, race categories, and demo opportunities offerred something for everyone, and the excellent turnout from local retailers and industry reps was great!  Certainly the best event of its kind I've attended.

Kudos also to Crystal Mountain for hosting with the venue, and three cheers to the Crystal Patrol for supporting the race with crowd control and providing a watchful eye over us in the event something went wrong.

And it provided a sizeable contribution to the Avalanche Center as well!

Hope you're able to do it again next year...

I have to repeat what others have already said, great everything, had fun hurting, then the demo area. I have Bike raced, XC ski raced, Cross country running and never found an event as well run and organized. People at the check points, ski patrol stopping traffic, well marked. I only got sort of lost because of a white out and fogged goggles; but I wasn't really lost- I just couldn't see the flag.

See you next year.

Vertfest redlined the fun meter. Thanks to OR, Pro-Guiding, the folks at Marmot, and Crystal Mt. for their efforts. I was impressed by the organization and safety consciousness. Case in point: Martin checked everyone’s beacon before the start of the first race. A special thanks to Kaj Bune from OR who was very supportive of my participating in the Rando Rally Open just for fun. He said “you never know – you just might get lucky”. Luckily, no one else was crazy enough to enter the Open Women’s 50+ category. So I “won” $50 – even though I came in second to last (well, someone had to be second to last). Plus smiles, hugs and handshakes all around. Now it’s on to the Life-Link Rando rally March 18th.
