Is anyone invited? If so count me and my buddy in.

Yep, anyone.
Weather permitting, we will usually sit around at the cars afterwards for a little tailgate party, so don't forget to bring your folding chairs and some snacks, etc.  8)

Whats the hike in like? How many miles? This will help guage how much beer I can carry. :) Now that I am thinking about it though, a bottle might be better, less weight, does the same job. Any preferences people?

Its around a mile in.  Some shwacking and rock scrambling involved but minor. Ditch the bottles and bring cans. Bottles just don't jingle on the way down like cans do.

Wow.
What a cool photo, Joe.
I'd like to get a higher res copy if one exists.  I can reciprocate with a higher res version of the similar view from 8/8/06 shown below.  It appears that some of the current day trails above Paradise may have been single lane dirt roads.  IF you look carefully you can also see a major difference in the thickness of the lower Nisqually Gl.  Look over near the Wilson Gully and you can see how much thicker the ice was.  Also it appears that the nunnatak at the (looker's) left of the current day glacier snout is covered over in the earlier photo.  Other subtle differences here and there.  Fun to compare them, eh?

Do you think there will be a mandatory rock landing, like last year?  e.g. should I prepare to damage my ski bases if I "get aggressive"   ???

Conditions like that old photo would be pretty ideal 8)
