Skip and myself are coordinating keg arrangements; we'll get the keg to the parking lot for Justin to haul up to the party spot.

Keg's reserved. It's a 1/6 barrel of Alaskan Amber - same as in past years (it fits nicely in a pack). I'm iffy for Sunday, but between the Casshole and I the coolant's going to get there one way or the other.

Should there be any interest, I'm bringing a copy of one of my labeled 360 degree panoramas from Silver King. I haven't yet processed the digital images I took last year from this location, so the current version still has pics taken with a film camera. It's not as detailed, but still, there are ~160 IDs, and most of the named features also include the  range, bearing and elevation.

I'm thinking of bring 3-4 pairs of skis for people to try, an unofficial skibuilders demo day. If anyone is interested in trying out some of our skis, please let me know, since I'll need help bringing them up. Thanks

i highly recommend our latest pairs, which i believe Kelvin et al will be bringing up:

Kelvin's b*tchin' camaros
Bangers & Mash (i left skins for these skis)

have fun. i wish i could be there. i'm afraid with the traffic and the drive, i'll be pressed to make it in time...
i'm looking forward to seeing photos and hearing about the event.

Are we really going to have Freshies tomorrow??

Tonight: Showers becoming scattered by midnight then ending and becoming partly cloudy late. Snow accumulation 1 to 3 inches. Snow level 5000 feet. West wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday: Partly cloudy in the morning then clearing. Freezing level 5000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the 40s. West wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

:D

As the clouds lifted just before dark tonight there was a nice fresh dusting of snow on the foothills east of Enumclaw -- probably down to 1,500 - 2,000'.

I'm not sure what effect this will have on the snowpack for tomorrow, but we found very saturated and unfrozen conditions down 8+ inches on nearly all aspects in the greater Crystal area this morning/ afternoon.  Observed several cornice inspired wet slides, mostly shallow.  Hopefully that 25-30 degree temperature drop this afternoon will help to freeze things for all of you attending the "Crystal fest" on Sunday.

Also - watch for abundant elk on 410, and up on the BLVD.
