I'm up for it... as long as we get the Glacier Travel field trip knocked out the weekend before.
Another benefit of the 30th is that, if memory serves, on of the original conceivers of the Crystal Fest is celebrating a birthday on that day.  I won't use any names for fear of embarrassing said person but her initials are MD  ;)
Just another reason to PARTY!

What Cass said.

Is it worth bringing the 8-gallon sippy cup? I don't mind dragging it up again, but someone else gets to ride it down this time.

My guess is it would be, if you could be fairly certain there would be enough grateful souls in attendance to assure it to be highly unlikely that you would end up financially in the red for the effort.  Precommitment might help ease your nervous intrepedations.  To that end I, for one would be willing to commit, say, oh, around ten frogpelts ($10) to the "tip cup" as insurance to mitigate the likelihood that I could be compelled to lug my own libations up that grusome precepice... possibly more if the cotents arrive extrememly cold.
Is anyone else of similar ilk?

Looks like you may have some respite on the exertion side as well; if aged memory serves, jdclimber proposed:

"You buy the beverage, I will haul it up".
