The truth is out there...
The truth is that rising global climate is a cause of receeding glaciers and ultimately low Snoquantitie, especially in our beloved PNW.

after playing at mazama ridge, alpental, and yodelin this past weekend, ...i was pleasantly suprised that alpy had the best snow of all the places.
if you don't like the snow quality at 3000ft, why not put on your skins and climb for an hour or two? imho, I'd rather spend the extra time on my skins getting to better snow than deal with those traffic jams on Hwy 2.

The peaks around Snoqualmie are higher than those around Stevens - so the better snow is there, if you climb through the drippy jungle to it. ;)

The exact reason to expand Alpental, my friends. The potential is fantastic. The Snoqualmie Area could be the next Whistler, in my opinion. Great road access. Great terrain. Great customer base(Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland).

Remember: 2010 Winter Olympics are in Whistler/Blackcomb B.C.
