Feb 1, 2008, KUDOs to Crystal's SnowGirl was created by Team Wally
Just another incredible day at Crystal, fresh to be had all day everywhere. Some very stable consolidation of all the new, even Southerly aspects were very barely running when ski cut. Snow stayed light and delicious all day. Patrol really came through getting EVERYTHING open early. Came out of Silver at 3:15 and was just hoping for one more lap. I knew SnowGirl was a great marketer with all the big names and weekly videos, but how in the world did she manage to get Stevens and Snoqualomie closed for some of the best powder days of the season ?

Really enjoyed the 20 minute lift line on high campbell...And then Rex breaking down for 20 minutes as well...amazing how fast everything got skied out. Could still find stashes in the usual places...thanks alpymarr for sharing your stash with us. Bet it will be incredibly crowded there tomorrow. Get there early if you want to get a parking spot.

Today was pretty close to perfection. First tracks down Powder Bowl, countless face shots, huge untracked runs, taking first timers on Dead Teddy (aka Teddy Bear). We never had a very big line at C6 and apparently were out in Northway when REX broke. I still can't decide if I love or hate the Northway chair but am willing to do more research.
Any word on the boarder hurt under the cliffs on C6? It looked like a very serious effort by Patrol.

Skied out?
Maybe the face of C6 got skied out, but we hiked the king at 2pm and were amazed that there were maybe 30 tracks down all of Silver Basin. That was after several high quality runs in the N Back. There are plenty of goods left for today, but I'm sure the hordes are going to descend.
It is all good eh?
