Thanks for the intel. I wonder what that means? I actually might be able to utilize some big sky mileage, but not if I have to pay Boyne's lodging prices.

OK, CNL Real Estate Concern are concerned with destroying your precious ski culture there at Crystal Mountain, don't let them get away with it!
I am an Alpentolic and we are all shuddering about the fasttracking of the MDP here at Alpental.
It is the law that there are concerned with as you may figure. Letters are tossed out and they do not care about what you want, only with, getting all the Crystal old-school folks pissed enough to destroy the great energy of the "old" Crystal  and replacing it with the BOTTOM-LINE MENTALITY.
I will remind you that CNL properties have a permit to operate with The USDA-FS. If ANY person is discrimenated against, you can SHUT DOWN CRYSTAL according to the Special Use Permit, SUP.

FOIA.....use it!

a good Alpental rights site...that can help you guys at Crystal

Read about what happened at Grand Targee and I believe, what is happening at all Boyne Mountain Corporate holdings which are some 22 ski resorts in USA and Canada. Hmmmmmmmmmm, a ski area monopoly? No wonder they seem to just do what they want without consideration of the REAL Crystal and the people that have made it a great ski area!

God I hope so. I'd love to buy a condo or house at Crystal, that's one of my dreams.
Wish they could expand the Gold Hills allotment and put some more cabins there for sale.
How can I support the development of more condos and private housing at Crystal????

So Keith...what has become of this issue?
Did "they" give you an answer to your satisfaction?
If so, what is the actual answer(letter) please publish the response here (or did I miss something?)
Thanks for the good work,

Crystal did the right thing and honored their obligation under which the ticket was sold.

Per the post on this thread on 10/25/07.

I hold that this affair was not an attempt to do anything dishonest. The outcome was certain as well. They would have to honor their agreement. The frustration was dealing with a bureaucracy, the Boyne Corporation. Crystal seemed caught between corporate and the customers.

As you know, I was a caretaker for a Gold Hills cabin last year which is now for sale with an offer. I learned much about the realities of that dream. You might want to chat with me about it sometime.

The yearly fees and property taxes are over 10K. View less property: $225,000. Pierce Country building permits required. (They are notoriously easy to work with and always lauded for their reasonableness!) Homes sell in the $1 million range.

I figured a person could stay at one of the slope side Crystal hotels for 50+ nights and still save money over buying a cabin.

Some new lots have been scraped out up there though for development.
