OOPS
Mooshy in the sun. Breakable crust in the shade. What could be more fun. The views were great. Stevens Pass Ski Area parking lot was not full. The slopes looked empty.
There was enough snow to get to the east slopes above Yodelin, but they were just too soft at 11am. Oh well.

Thanks ,that helps my choice for tomorrow.Looks like it never got cold enough to crust up to supportable.

We had similar conditions a ways further north today (Green Mountain; Suiattle River valley); a cautionary note for those heading out on Sunday: the solar aspects may not be refreezing overnight (and/or are thawing rapidly even in the early morning); we set off a small pinwheel on the descent of the spine of a broad topographic rib, which triggered a wet slide further down on a ~35-deg. SW aspect (~5,500-ft); nobody was caught in it, but nonetheless quite scary...the wet slide ran over 600 vert. ft down a wide gully (adjacent to our descent route which was on the rib), gaining lots of volume on the way (piled up ~3-ft+ at the bottom)...
I actually had a good time out there with Andrew on Saturday morning.
It was a perfect day with high temps and blue skies.

Nice South Facing slope that had good turns for Andrew
