How does the SW face of Earl peak look? Does it still have snow?
It's funny. I've skied that little patch on the flett when it looked like that...200 foot long patch of snow...with ice all around...but that was in September. The middle Russell looks like...
I wonder if it will still be skiable on July4th...I suppose by then the whole section from the summit to disappointment may be barren pumice. I may need to bring a bear canister for my socks and shoes...

Damn....I was hoping to do something in the blackcomb BC on May 7th...but now I see the area doesn't open until 10am now...and that the glacier express and T-bar might not be open. Damn. And of co...
Wow....that groomed teanaway road is amazing. Is that normal? Do they use a fancy grooming cat? It doesn't look like a sno-mobile road at all. It looks like a nice place for XC skiing. I th...
Where did you park? In the little pull out on the south side of the road, just west of the tunnel fan and the old parking area that has signs prohibiting parking?
It looks like SAR has dug out their car in the parking lot. Very Nice Service.I like the following quote from the komo news story, "...powder that is chest deep in some places"--Yeehaw
I also enjoyed the silver peak highmark park on Sunday....via the hyak road slog. Returned via nordic pass and got lost, caught between various uncrossable streams. I need to go back armed with 100 bl...
