I went up to Excelsior Pass with Tod Eastman (Mr T). It started with just 4 inches or so of stiff new snow at the road level (1800 feet) but became deep. Maybe 40 inches of loose snow at the 5,000 foot level. Skiing quality was excellent. There was no sign of instability - and the route was moderate throughout. We got misplaced going down and got out just at dark.
Thanks, Steve. Good to hear that all this new snow is gripping on to the underpinnings. This weekend is going to be legendary.
