Just logistically speaking - can you get to the Source Lake return trail without going through the Nash gate?

I  hope it's  OK  if I don't use a brand new rocker ski with the  latest lightest tech binding on the rare occasion on which  I choose to tour up  the  Alpental Valley to see the amazing  spread of ski  tracks always there any more. And I also  hope it's OK if I don't look down on the folks who may still  just be figuring the sport out, but who  have this nifty newer gear underfoot and on the back. But yesterday and Monday, we chose to play down the highway a bit, and saw one party of two all day Monday, and no one but us chickens with mostly-aging gear seeking lame-ass lines on which we had great fun yesterday. We did see that one snow-bike had discovered some of our favored slots through some tight trees, probably during last weekend's dumpage based on the look of the tracks. Perhaps I should start an ongoing thread to document thoughts and feelings about that...

"The test results revealed a change in the configuration of interconnecting neurons (brain cells) in the brain's left hemisphere, indicating that a 're-wiring' was underway: a reorganization of neurons, presumably to better allow consciousness to serve the 'virtual reality' offered by the computer screen - resulting in a diminished sensory ability to perceive, comprehend, and respond to the 'actual reality' of the outside world."

I've seen the non-virtual poo, and the  folks who seek out every nook and cranny of the Pass area for their various forms  of snow play. Some may indeed have different wiring than others thanks to their "screen  time"  habits and the age at which  they  acquired them, but I think all involved are also  getting out a fair bit  in the real world too, either  sowing or whining/venting about the  impacts  of said dogs.
