While the above represents the utilitarian perspective, others consider aesthetic factors as part of a good day in the mountains...

totally. that's why i use lsd while on skyline for aesthetics. that way all the gapers look like angels.

I agree...nothing spoils the aesthetics of a good sled access day than meeting up with a group of crusty old TAY fuckers with a preachy attitudes awash in self-righteousness..... Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaappppppp.

Sleds in the mountains is like having Scotsman on TAY, we just have to tolerate 'em. :)

Z-bo That is freaking hilarious. T.Eastman it is all about perspective. As for Aesthetic factor some people don't like all the human and animal feces on the (as I have heard it be called) S&P (S**t and P*ss) Highway AKA Skyline Ridge. I try to cover my pee spots with snow for no reason other than out of respect for others.

I try to keep the mindset of "What makes my enjoyment factor more important than the next persons?" and that I have something to learn out of any interaction I make. As Ale said the guys were nice usually a "Hey man you would get way more bang for your buck at this place" goes further than "HOW DARE YOU SLED HERE!!!!!!"

One thing I hate is fighter Jets flying overhead while climbing in Glacier Peak Wilderness, they sound like massive avalanches. Think I'm going to petition the government on ruining my wilderness experience.

I have a friend in from NZ and all this snow is ruining his view of the mountains as well. May petition the government for this as well.

I also dislike ugly skin tracks.....no, I really do!!!

(sorry about the rant just got my wisdom tooth pulled so I blame it on the pain killers)

Between Z-Bo and Kyle, we could have a pretty good party in the mountains!

An extremely sexist comment. Tsk, Tsk.  Most females are far less whiny and  far tougher than men.

"Whining like a TAYer ," would be a more accurate and less stereotypical adjective.

I completely retract what I wrote about that. I'm sorry I offended everyone. Maybe I'll go pop some LSD and trample the slopes at skyline with my old snowshoes this weekend while waving a an old chainsaw around revved up to sound like snowmobiles racing by so you have something better to post about next week.

No offense taken...Scotsman agrees with you, I think.
