The release paper that comes with a new set of BD skins works really well. Iron them once and wait about 10 seconds for the very top part of the glue to set, then peel the paper back - most of the grit will come off. Clean the paper with some GooGone, then iron again and wait longer for the glue to cool before taking them off; you'll get a shiny like-new surface.
