Best way to get grit & needles off skins was created by Jake the Brit
I have a lot of grit & needles stuck on my skins, so much that picking it off is an endless task.
I'm pretty sure there's an easier way. Is this the fabled 'brown paper bag' routine. With an iron?
All hell gladly received.
Thanks. Jake

I've used newspaper and an iron. Brown bag should work also. Takes a few goes but it'll do it. Reglue. Have fun.

In my experience brown paper bag does a better job than newspaper as it is a bit more sturdy and won't rip.
You probably won't have to add any fresh glue, just put the brown paper bag strip down, iron until warm, gently peel, and work your way down the skin. This serves as a nice 'refresh' without adding new glue, unless you've already done this a few times and the glue has completely lost its tackiness.
Once you're ready to do a complete re-glue I would recommend stripping all of the old glue off with the brown paper bag+iron+old credit card or scraper method, then carefully adding new glue to a fresh canvas.
