What was the age of this chair?
It would be cool to count the rings on the trees that came down.
Might be a fun spring adventure.
Rip chair six.

Well, it came from Yodelin in 1979 and first hauled butts to the top of the Queen in 1980. Yodelin opened in 1961 so if my math's correct, the lift is 53 years old. Maybe add a year for construction... but at that age, ballpark is close enough.

Whilst viewing the heli shots today I could not help but play connect the dots on the Throne crown. One can draw a nearly straight line that terminates at the a-basin gate, lookers left and the coral reef traverse at the beginning of the Throne boot pack. There appear to be vestiges of said coral reef indicating that the reef my now be a permanent. I always got pissed at the traverse rs for manking up the snow when I dropped in from the Throne. If you dont want to do the climb please dont screw it for those that do. Same can be said for Penny Dogs in North. BTW joe, Paul did seemed amused when I dropped the uniBaughner line on him, with full credit to the originator of course.
