This is the book I wish I had 5 years ago. Although lots of good info and details on tours I already have done.

Rainer and Martin: Thank you for the guiding light! I just ordered the new guidebook, it will have a spot right next to the classic.

Just a shout out for PGS - they are clearing out a lot of gear so a good time to pick up some equipment at a good price. Just worked with Mike on getting some K2 Backdrop 181 and putting Salomon Guardians on them. Plus they have the fairly difficult to find (I have been looking) factory ski crampons for the Guardians/Trackers.
Note they are out of hardcopy's of the book in the store but sounded like they were getting more in the next few days. - S2F

Some may not be aware of the sweet option on the book they have at Mountaineers Books ...
I bought the book there online in both hardcopy and PDF. You download digital copy on line and have immediate access to it. The handy feature of the PDF version is that you can print out just the pages you want for a trip and leave the book at home.

Amen, My copy is already dog eared and torn up and in heavy use. Excellent beta and route descriptions. Dreams are in the making.

Yeah, with an excellent bonus tour at the end!
