Kudos to Martin and Company was created by Rainer
Martin Volken and the crew at Pro Guiding did a masterful job at assembling the new guidebook, approaching John Baldwin's BC tome. Congratulations folks. May your book enjoy long and numerous sales!

Some of you newer folks may not fully realize the true value of this Kudo.
The poster is no other than Rainer Burgerdorfer, author of "Backcountry Skiing in Washington's Cascades", first published in 1986 (and my "bible" when I got into this game) and later "100 Classic Backcountry Ski and Snowboard Routes in Washington" published in 1999.
So this Kudo obviously comes from someone that knows what he is talking about.
And FWIW, I completely agree with him.

My copy of Rainer Burgdorfer's 1987 guide has tattered and worn pages. The Jim Hill tour has been torn from the original book (bad decision on a day when I did not have access to a copy machine). A pat on the back from him probably feels pretty good.

Well, kudos to Rainer too!
And this is just one more motivator to go out and buy this new book (gotta get the print+PDF option!)

Rainer, as the CFO as well as the CPO (Chief Powder Officer) at Mountaineers Books, I just want to say that the two editions of your book helped a lot of people get into this sport safely and enjoyably, myself included. It had a long successful run. Thank you for that, and thank you for your generous endorsement of Volken’s new book which carries on in your ski tracks.
