How's the local snowpack going to play this year?

We could certainly (but only occasionally ;>) feel the icy layer under the 12+ inches of new powder up at Heather Ridge Tuesday. The new snow did not want to slide on it at all, though, doing ski cuts on 35+ degree slopes.
