Random Track, for real- help with ID?

Up in the Suiattle river valley last month, we left our skis home but were hiking through the snow and found these tracks up at the top of Sulphur Pk. The pads were 4-6" in length and the clusters were 2-3 feet apart- suggesting some kind of largish animal moving quickly. I've had a wolverine expert say that it is not gulo gulo, because the gait is all wrong- but with the size and clear 5 clawed toe footprints, I'm at a loss as to what else could have been running through the snow at 6700'+. The second shot shows a standard (3 inch?) ski pole basket imprint next to the track for size comparison

Looks a lot like a river otter track.

I saw similar tracks at Cascade Pass but my pictures don't show it as clearly as yours do. I'm curious to know what the general consensus is as to what left them.

I'm 99% sure those are marmott tracks. I see them in the alpine all the time, usually near recently uncovered marmott dens or behind marmotts.
