Great pics of Chug above. He was one of the best dogs ever. So sad.

Sorry to hear it Scotsman.  The gut wrenching truth of losing a family member - you can't know it without having lived it.  I trust your memories will be strong and warm.

Thank you everybody .We are devastated by the loss and although only a dog, it is as you say like losing a family member.
Your kind words and pictures mean a lot to our family and I thank you all very much.

My thoughts are with you Chris, so sorry Chugie went before his time. What a handsome handful of a dog he was!

Found myself with a short day today and took my 3y/o, Max, for a hike in "The Park" today. He loves running around in the snow and had a great time. My old boy, Joe, a 13y/o, mountain abused black lab, can't make the mtn trips anymore and was very distraught to see the youngster getting to go. Anyway, found myself thinking about you and Chugach the whole afternoon and thinking he has been on similar trips in similar places; was kind of like he was hangin' out with us. Kelly and I are huge dog lovers, feel your pain and so sorry for your loss. Going to lose Joe one of these days soon and really dreading it. My heart is with you.
